How long has Kobussen been in business?

Kobussen started in 1938 as a school bus company, and entered the luxury motorcoach business in 1983. Learn more in our History section.

What is Kobussen’s Department of Transportation safety rating?

Kobussen has a rating of “Satisfactory,” which is the highest rating possible. Kobussen also is subject to military audits every 18 months that validate our good safety standing.

Does Kobussen have a certificate of insurance?

Yes. This certificate shows proof of insurance and effective policy dates. Current accepted levels of insurance are $5 million for combined single-limit liability (CSLL).

What are Kobussen’s procedures for on-the-road emergencies?

Rest assured that Kobussen staff members are on call 24 hours, seven days a week, to handle any emergencies.

Is the company available for inspection?

Yes, you’re welcome to inspect the motorcoaches, general offices and garage facilities before signing any contracts.

What is the average age of the vehicles?

Generally, the newer the motorcoach, the fewer the breakdowns. Kobussen is proud to announce the recent addition of several new vehicles to our fleet, for an average age of four to five years.

Are video-equipped motor coaches available?

Yes, all motorcoaches have VCRs and DVD players.

Does Kobussen have a drug-screening program in place?

Can Kobussen supply a list of qualified drivers?

Yes. Our drivers have passed all tests and have documentation of their Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and DOT physical examination.

Is Kobussen a full-service company?

Yes, we provide our own maintenance facilities and vehicles equipped for people with special needs.
